Smart City is based on efficiency, harmony and continuity, with the basic framework of physical equipment, computer network and human brain intelligence. The economic structure, growth mode and the basic content of intelligent government, intelligent economy and intelligent society are Urban form.
Smart city construction is a systematic project. In the smart city system, first of all, urban management is intelligent, and the smart city management system assists in managing the city, followed by intelligent infrastructure including intelligent transportation, intelligent power, intelligent building, and intelligent security, including smart medical, smart home, and intelligence. Social intelligence such as education and intelligent production of intelligent enterprises, intelligent banks, and smart stores will comprehensively improve the modernization level of urban production, management, and operation.
Smart city is a fusion of information economy and knowledge economy. The computer network of information economy provides the basic conditions for building a smart city, while the human brain wisdom of knowledge economy turns human wisdom into the kinetic energy of urban development. Professor Ji Zhu, Director of the World Economic Research Center of Beijing Technology and Business University, presided over the completion of China's first urban intelligent management system, the Beijing Urban Intelligent Management System (BCSMS). On this basis, Professor Ji Zhu presided over the design of the “China Economic Intelligence Management System”. "(CESMS) was officially launched in January 2011, and the Chinese economy was included in the intelligent management track. In 2011, the World Economic Intelligence Early Warning System (WESFS) will also be put into operation, and Beijing has become the world's smart economy center.
Smart city construction is the forerunner of the smart economy. In April 2012, Beijing, Hangzhou, Xi'an, Wuhan and Ningbo were jointly selected as the list of “China Smart Cities” pilot cities established by the Chinese Academy of Engineering.
